Our Shar-Pei
|
Our first Shar-Pei puppy, purchased from its breeder Joachim Weinberg of Hamburg-Rosengarten, graced our home in August 1982. It was a dog named Kung Fu’s Bag Dan, who shared almost nine years of our life. From day one, we were totally thrilled with this wrinkly dog from China, its devotion to the family, and at times displaying strange but positive behavior.
A Shar-Pei is a true and wonderful friend that showers everyone, especially children, with all its affection, while also guarding and protecting them. This dog likes being respected and appreciated by its keeper. The breed needs a roof over its head marked by an organized home in a stable environment.
Since the beginning of 1982, each and every member of my family has loved Shar-Pei dogs. We love these unique pets and in return enjoy their affection for us, every minute of each day we spend together. These dogs have a calm and confident nature.
We have been living for over a decade now with our wonderful pets on the beautiful and sunny island of Ibiza. Our Shar-Pei can relish the Mediterranean climate here, and enjoy the freedom of a big lot, and an unrestrained and casual atmosphere at home.
On April 26, 2005, our beloved Lee Wong departed from us after an active life of 14 years, two months, and six days. Since then, we have been enjoying our days on this white island with the other four Shar-Pei we own – Chow Lee and Chico, and two new puppies, Chilly and Pepper.
